APWA Public Works Projects of the Year
The American Public Works Association's Public Works Projects of the Year Award was established to promote excellence in public works projects by recognizing the partnership between the project's managing agency, the contractor and consultant/architect/engineer who, working together, complete public works projects. Projects are recognized in the categories of Disaster or Emergency Construction/Repair; Environment; Historical Preservation/Restoration; Structures; and Transportation. Projects are further divided by cost. The 2003 award winners were recognized on August 25 during APWA's International Public Works Congress and Exposition in San Diego.
