FOCUS ON: Engines
The ultimate source of mower power.
Before deciding which piece of equipment will best fit your fleet, consider what's at the heart of that machine: the engine. Manufacturers frequently offer a selection of engines in their equipment that vary in horsepower and design. Here are some engines (15-hp and more) that are typically found in grounds equipment. Knowing which options you require in an engine can make overall equipment selection easier. So take a look at what's out there to choose from. If you need more information about the following engines, use the circle numbers provided at the end of each product description.
BRIGGS & STRATTON
The Vanguard V-Twin Big Block air-cooled and liquid-cooled engines, by Briggs & Stratton Commercial Power, are available in 25-, 27-, 29-, 31-, 33- and 35-hp models. The air-cooled engines feature an advanced debris management system that is incorporated into the engine's air-cooling system and allows the engine to run cooler and cleaner, while enhancing durability and performance. The liquid-cooled engines have high-capacity of liquid cooling that allows engines to run cooler, smoother and longer.
