Textron Golf, Turf & Specialty Products announced that Jacobsen, Cushman and Ryan turf care equipment was used to maintain the playing surface at Edison International Field, Anaheim, Calif., home of the 2002 World Champion Anaheim Angels and one of the host stadiums for the 2002 World Series.

“The League Championship and the World Series have given us a chance to show the field to the whole world,” said Barney Lopas, head grounds keeper at Edison Field. “But we couldn't have done it without the whole package: our staff and the Jacobsen mowers, the Cushman utility trucks and sprayers and aerators. They're the reason the field looks, plays and stays in prime condition throughout the year, not just during the series.”

The equipment, supplied by Jacobsen E-Z-GO Corona of Corona, Calif., include Greens King VI tri-plex riding greens mowers, Greens King 522 and 526 Walk-Behind greens mowers, Cushman Turf Trucksters used with the SDI Sprayers and Top Dresser 1500.

“We are absolutely delighted that equipment from Jacobsen, Cushman and Ryan is being used by the grounds crew at Edison International field to create a showcase, not just during the World Series, but all year long,” said Jon Carlson, president of Textron Golf, Turf & Specialty Products. “The Anaheim Angels are just one of a long list of professional and collegiate sports teams who play on turf maintained by crews using equipment from our companies.”
