The Professional Landcare Network (PLANET) has released a new product, the STARS Safety Program for Green Industry Companies, on CD. This ready-to-use safety program can be adopted as is or customized to meet companies' specific needs. This new CD is sponsored by CNA and LaPorte & Associates.

The STARS (Safety Training Achieves Remarkable Success) Safe Company Program is a safety initiative developed by PLANET to assist green-industry companies in their efforts to lower their total costs of risk by reducing hazards and injuries. There is no fee to participate in the STARS program, and all green-industry professionals are invited to join the program.

This new safety program on CD is designed for green-industry companies of all sizes. Improving safety can greatly reduce employee injuries and resulting workers' compensation claims, OSHA citations and other job-related injury costs.
