The John Deere 1600 Turbo Wide-Area Mower provides power, maneuverability, traction and cut quality. It is powered by a 64-hp Yanmar diesel engine with high torque and is equipped with a 22-gallon fuel tank. The 1600 has a clipping rate of 8.5 acres an hour at 6.5 mph and can operate all day without refueling. With a cutting width of almost 11 feet, the 1600 Turbo Wide-Area Mower accommodates three commercial 7-gauge mower decks — one 62-inch center-mower deck and two 42-inch wing decks. The mower's anti-scalp rollers included on the center mower deck help to ensure a clean cut.

ROCK REMOVER

The Rockaway Landscaping Tool is now available for use with compact tractors. Once installed on the tractor's loader bucket, it turns rough, rocky ground into a finely groomed seedbed. To use the Rockaway, tractors need to have a hydraulic system capacity of 6 gpm or more and a remote hydraulic valve. The Rockaway removes rocks and debris as it tills and fluffs soil. Soil and rocks are processed together by a durable rotor equipped with carbide-tipped mining teeth. Fine soil for seeding passes through the rotor and out through the Rockaway screen.
