The John Deere 2500E Hybrid Tri-Plex Greens Mower is equipped with two engine options — an 18-hp, four-cycle Kawasaki V-Twin gas engine or a diesel-powered 18-hp, three-cylinder John Deere Series 220 engine. The advanced electrical reel system allows the cutting units to be powered independently of the traction speed, unlike hydraulic reel circuits. This allows users in sound-sensitive areas to reduce their engine rpm without slowing reel rpm or mowing speed, reducing sound levels while maintaining cut quality and productivity. The three 22-inch cutting units are available with either seven- or 11-blade reels with an optional smooth or grooved front roller. For more productivity and less downtime, the 2500E comes standard with the John Deere White Box controller, allowing on-board electrical diagnosis by the technician.
