Flowtronex PSI Inc. unveils new reverse osmosis and oxygenation systems that support the company's philosophy of combining all aspects of fertigation, pH control, irrigation and filtration with single-source accountability. Reverse osmosis is the phenomenon of water flowing through a semi-permeable membrane that blocks the transport of salts or other solutes. When a semi-permeable membrane separates two water volumes, water flows from the side of low solute concentration to the side of high solute concentration. Oxygenation follows the same strategy of maximizing the available water supply. Common problems encountered in ponds and hazards include high BOD/COD, discolored water, odor problems and algae/weed growth.
