Project Evergreen launches green care for troops
Project EverGreen is launching “GreenCare for Troops: Serving You While You Serve Us,” a nationwide outreach program designed to enable local lawn and landscape firms to perform a worthwhile public service for the men and women serving our country overseas in the armed forces.
In announcing the new program, Den Gardner, executive director of Project EverGreen, said, “Lawn and landscape maintenance becomes a definite hardship when a family's major breadwinner is on active duty overseas. GreenCare for Troops is designed to show our industry's concern for this situation by setting up a way to provide services to affected families.”
