Perennial Plant Association (PPA) president Janet Anderson awarded Stephanie Cohen, of Collegeville, Pa., with a plaque in recognition of her accomplishments as the 2006 Award of Merit recipient.

The Award of Merit is the most distinguished award granted by the PPA. It is presented every year to someone who, through growing, retailing, teaching, or designing, has contributed to the advancement of the perennial industry. Recipients of the award represent the best of the industry and recognize an individual for efforts beyond those of the average professional.

Cohen’s career has been focused on educating others about the beauty of horticulture, landscape and perennial plants. Through her work at Temple University and her years of service to the PPA, she has received both the PPA Academic and PPA Service Awards.
