ANLA Elects New Leaders to Board of Directors
The American Nursery & Landscape Association (ANLA) elected new board members at its annual meeting on July 12, 2006 in Vail, Colo. ANLA’s board is comprised of regional representatives in addition to the president, president elect and the immediate past president. Three new board members, Matt Horn, Matterhorn Nursery (N.Y.), Bliss Nicholson, The Bruce Company of Wisconsin (Wis.) and Robert Terry, Fisher Farms LLC (Ore.), were elected by ANLA’s Senate. They join newly elected president-elect Dwight Hughes, Jr., Dwight Hughes Nursery (Iowa), and president Joanne Kostecky, JOANNE KOSTECKY Garden Design, Inc. (Pa.).
“I want to represent all segments of the industry and make decisions on an informed base of knowledge from my 28 years in this industry. I need to be challenged and challenging to advance education for my peers, increase the business acumen of our member firms, and extend the power of the green industry in Washington, DC,” says ANLA President, Joanne Kostecky.
