Arysta LifeScience North America Receives Federal Registration of Disarm Fungicides

Arysta LifeScience North America Corporation has announced federal registration of Fluoxastrobin, a strobilurin fungicide providing control of plant diseases on turfgrass. Arysta LifeScience will market Fluoxastrobin as Disarm Fungicide in golf course, lawn care, sports turf and sod production markets.

Arysta LifeScience received exclusive global marketing rights to Fluoxastrobin in turf and ornamental markets last year, and anticipates a full U.S. launch pending state registrations. The company is currently evaluating a number of Fluoxastrobin-based premixes following the introduction of the solo product.

In 2005, Arysta LifeScience collaborated with universities across the U.S. to accurately define the disease control spectrum and performance benefits of Fluoxastrobin. “Trial results indicate Fluoxastrobin, alone or in combination, provides excellent control of brown patch, summer patch, snow mold, target spot and southern blight,” confirmed Doug Houseworth, R&D manager Arysta LifeScience turf and ornamentals. In 2006, Disarm research trials are being conducted on control of anthracnose, gray leaf spot and other major turf diseases.
