Fullmer Retires As ASGCA Executive Secretary

Paul Fullmer, whose 34 years of service as executive secretary of the American Society of Golf Course Architects make him the longest-serving senior administrator in the golf industry, announced his retirement at the recent ASGCA annual meeting on Hilton Head Island.

Former ASGCA director of communications Chad Ritterbusch succeeded Fullmer, and the ASGCA relocated its headquarters from Chicago to Milwaukee.

According to newly-elected ASGCA president Bill Love, the transition positions the professional organization of golf course architects for future success and growth. “During more than three decades of service, Paul Fullmer did much for the Society and the game of golf. We appreciate Paul’s dedication, stewardship and leadership that have helped the Society more than triple its membership during his tenure. Chad Ritterbusch worked with Fullmer for nearly 10 years and has the experience and understanding to help our organization prosper in the future.”
