American Society of Irrigation Consultants Professional Membership Hits 100

The American Society of Irrigation Consultants (ASIC) has added nine new Professional Members in 2004, bringing the total to 100.

The new members include Gaylon Coates, Shawn Coates, Christopher Coates and Allen George, all of Scottsdale, Ariz.; Brent Harvey, Ramona, Calif.; Marvin Mills, Higley, Ariz.; Bill Whitmore, Phoenix, Ariz.; David Yoshimura, Palm Desert, Calif.; and Eyal Levi, Israel. ASIC President Dan Benner said the growth of the ASIC membership reflects the organization’s ability to demonstrate the value that independent irrigation consultants offer facility and grounds managers in private and public sector markets.

“Our membership has grown 30 percent in the past two years and we’re delighted to hit the 100-member milestone,” said Benner. “New members bring new ideas, which enables us to better serve everyone’s interests. Continued growth will enhance our ability to demonstrate the important role we play in reducing water and energy consumption and optimizing cost efficiency, aesthetics and performance.”

Benner noted that ASIC now has 166 associate members, which are typically manufacturers in the irrigation and water management field. Nineteen associate members have been added in 2004.
