Bayer Selects Winners for GIS Drawings
Bill Freeman, Club of Cimarron in Mission, Texas, and Alan Hess, Augusta Pines Golf Club, in Humble, Texas, were big winners in the recent Bayer Environmental Science GIS booth drawing. They both won laptop computers. Their names were selected randomly from those who participated in the Bayer Accolades Rewards booth drawing at the recent GIS in Orlando.
In addition, Bayer randomly selected eight more names for the Accolades prize giveaway at the GIS booth. The prizes, the same as those available through the Bayer Accolades program, included goodies such as digital cameras, infrared soil thermometers, GCSAA memberships and palm tungstens.
Other winners were:
- Scott D. Austin, Midland Hills Country Club in Mahtonedi, Minn., and Riley Stottern, Southern Highlands Golf Club, St. Georgia, Utah, who each won digital cameras.
- Richard Pollock, Stone Creek and Eagle Run Golf Club, Omaha, Neb., and Mark Pierce, Tiffany Greens Golf Club, Kansas City, Mo., who won infrared soil thermometers.
- Damon Ryba, Indigo Creek Golf Club, Murrells Inlet, S.C., and Michael Whitehead, Pawtucket Country Club, Seekonk, Mass., who each won a Palm Tungsten T5.
- Glen MacDonald, KoKo Pelli, Marion, Ill., and Derrick Sammons, Lake Forest Yacht and Country Club, Daphne, Ala., who each received a GCSAA membership.
Introduced in 2000, the Bayer Accolades program allows users to earn points toward rewards by purchasing products, operating on the same concept as frequent flyer miles. The program was initially introduced to give customers an added incentive to purchase Bayer products. Recently, the list of rewards has been updated in response to customers’ requests for products that they or their staff could use to enhance their services.
“We’ve had a great response to our Accolades program,” says Jeff Weld, programs manager, Bayer Environmental Science. “We saw the GIS booth drawing as a great way to showcase the variety of prizes that we offer our customers, as well as reward attendees with a chance to win one of them.”
Accolades members earn points with every Bayer product purchased, which can be redeemed for hundreds of gifts or products from the rewards catalog. The more points you accumulate, the bigger the reward possibilities. Now that Accolades offers Paperless Points, earning rewards is as simple as buying Bayer products; nothing more.
