Bayleton Approved for Fairy Ring Prevention in 16 States
Sixteen states recently approved a 2(ee) recommendation for use of Bayleton 50 WP fungicide as a preventative treatment for fairy ring in turfgrass, Bayer Environmental Science announced. Used as a preventative treatment, Bayleton provides control of fairy ring, a disease caused by a soil-borne basidiomycete fungi.
Fairy ring is identified by its dark green or brown rings that can range in size from a few inches to several feet in diameter. Fairy ring can also lead to the formation of hydrophobic soil conditions.
