Exhibit Sales Brisk for 2005 EXPO
With spring barely in the air, power equipment manufacturers are already making sure they are positioned to gather leads in the fall at the 2005 International Lawn, Garden & Power Equipment Expo (EXPO). The show is set for October 14-16 in the newly expanded Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville.
Warren Sellers, show director for the 2005 EXPO, said that sales are running about 10,000 net square feet ahead of the same time last year. New exhibitors or those returning after an absence include Ken-Bar Mfg. Co., Keith Manufacturing, Kelch Corporation, Toyota Motor, E-Z-GO and Superior Battery Manufacturing.
Ken Alexander, president of Ken-Bar, said his company is returning after a one-year absence. He said he wants to be in Louisville because, "We have some new products coming out, and we want to introduce them at the show."
Sellers said at least 17 companies have increased their space for the 2005 show. They include Briggs & Stratton, Dixie Chopper, Ford, Bush Hog and Ditch Witch.
The expansion of the Kentucky Exposition Center means that all exhibits - and the registration area - will be in one hall this year. "The show will have an amazing new look," Sellers said. "As soon as attendees enter the hall they will see and feel the excitement of having 500 suppliers within view. Then they can step outside and try the products for themselves. I think exhibitors want to be part of that synergy."
