CAPCA Announces New Executive Director
The California Association of Pest Control Advisers recently announced the appointment of Terry W. Stark as executive director.
Stark brings to CAPCA over 20 years of expertise in executive association creation and management, legislative and regulatory agriculture advocacy and was a political appointee in the U.S. Department of Agriculture located in Washington, D.C. He has had significant appointments and accomplishments in agricultural commodities. One such project is the reintroduction of the “California Dancing Raisins” in the United States.
Most recently, Stark comes to CAPCA from the California Growers Association in Visalia, Calif., where he held the position of president. He is credited for the initial start-up of the agricultural marketing cooperative, which represents 85 percent of the producers and the development and enhancement of a multi-million dollar budget.
The California Association of Pest Control Advisers (CAPCA) represents 75 percent of the nearly 5,000 California EPA licensed pest control advisers (PCAs) that provide consultation for the production of food, fiber, industrial, turf and ornamental industries of the state.
