Caterpillar Inc. has recently launched a section of its Web site dedicated to providing information for landscape and green industry professionals: http://www.cat.com/landscaping. This new section outlines products and services specific to individual landscape applications, as well as the service and support offered by the extensive network of Caterpillar dealers and The Cat Rental Store.

Kent Pellegrini, green industries manager for Caterpillar’s North American Commercial Division, explained that customers who visit the new landscape pages will find general product information, as well as deeper machine specifications, application-specific machine and work tool pairings, and links to other services, such as operator training, dealer locator and the Build & Quote on-line price request feature.

Pellegrini anticipates that the site will evolve with the timely addition of news and events, industry links and additional content based on customer feedback. “If customers enter the overall site through the Landscaping Industry area, they still will have easy access to the rest of the cat.com site for information about Caterpillar, Cat merchandise, and the products and services available throughout the company,” he adds.
