Project EverGreen Expands Program to Help Communicate the Benefits of Green Spaces
Project EverGreen is gaining momentum in its drive to inform homeowners about the hidden value of well-maintained green spaces. Building on the success of its widely-distributed “It’s More Than a Landscape, It’s a Lifescape” envelope stuffer and leave-behind piece for lawn and landscape professionals, the organization has just released a pocket-sized reference guide entitled “Creating a Greener World.” The guide is designed to help landscape and lawn care professionals and others communicate the benefits and important how-tos of maintaining lawns and landscapes to customers.
According to Den Gardner, executive director of Project EverGreen, “Both information pieces are designed to help homeowners discover the substantial environmental, economic and lifestyle benefits not usually associated with proper care of turf, trees and shrubs. More than 110,000 copies of our ‘Lifescape’ piece have already been ordered by lawn and landscape professionals. We anticipate that the ‘Creating a Greener World’ pocket guide, which is designed for reference by all industry professionals, will be truly useful in raising awareness among homeowners about the benefits of green spaces.”
