Exmark donates second Lazer Z to teach students mower safety

Exmark Manufacturing is donating a second Lazer Z zero-turn riding lawnmower to help the Kentucky Department of Agriculture teach the importance of mower safety to people of all ages throughout the state and the country.

Exmark recently delivered a liquid-cooled Lazer Z XS to the Kentucky Department of Agriculture. Dale Dobson, the departmentís farm safety administrator, said he will use the second Lazer Z from Exmark to demonstrate the safety features of the Rollover Protection System (ROPS) to high school students, landscape professionals and homeowners.

Last fall, Exmark donated a Lazer Z HP 28hp EFI 60-inch deck zero-turn riding mower to the Kentucky Department of Agriculture for the National Future Farmers of America Convention, which was held in Louisville, Ky. More than 55,000 students attended the annual FFA Convention.

The Kentucky Department of Agriculture also uses the Lazer Z to teach farm safety, both on the local and national levels. Dobson travels to various high schools throughout Kentucky, teaching the proper way to use heavy equipment, and he attends more than 110 shows per year.
