Florida Citrus Holdings Acquires Turfgrass America

Florida Citrus Holdings, LLC has recently acquired a controlling interest in Turfgrass America, a sod production company in the United States. The company’s primary lines of business include sod production for the landscape market, retail sod sales, and sports turf production and installation. Turfgrass America has operations in Texas, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Arizona and California.

Turfgrass America’s retail business includes sales of sod through stores such as Home Depot, Lowe’s, WalMart, and independent lawn/garden stores located throughout the U.S.

The Company also sells and installs turf at golf courses, football stadiums and other sports venues around the country. Past projects include the Miami Beach Golf Club, Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, and Reliant Stadium in Houston.

Arthur Milberger is a founder and senior official at Turfgrass America. "We are looking forward to the resources and expertise that Florida Citrus Holdings brings to Turfgrass America," said Milberger. "With their support, we hope to expand in order to better serve our customers."

Florida Citrus Holdings is jointly owned by Reservoir Capital Group and private equity investment entities affiliated with Collier Enterprises.
