Adirondack Regional Conference to be held in Lake Placid
LAKE PLACID, NY – On April 4, 2002 the New York State Turfgrass Association (NYSTA) will present the Adirondack Regional Conference, a one-day seminar designed to inform turf professionals of the latest research and cultural practices at the Hilton Lake Placid Resort – Lake Placid. In addition to the educational sessions, this one-day conference will include a trade show with vendors representing green industry products.
This year’s Adirondack Regional Conference has a strong focus on environmental issues for the turf industry with topics on Integrated Pest Management, proper pesticide selection and site selection. Noteworthy speakers include Dr. Patricia Vittum, University of Massachusetts; Dr. Jennifer Grant, New York State IPM Program; Dr. Andrew Landers, Dr. Frank Rossi, Cornell University.

Conference hours are from 7:30 am to 3:00 pm, with registration beginning at 7:30 am. The cost of the program is $40.00 for NYSTA members/$50.00 for nonmembers. Registration fee will include all instruction, materials, breaks and lunch. New NYSTA members can take $10 off the member rate ($30 preregistered).
