Ariens Company contributes $40,000 to disaster relief efforts
Ariens Company established an employee contribution fund to aid the families of the police, fire and emergency medical service workers responding to the World Trade Center terrorist attack. The company extended the opportunity for employees as well as dealers and distributors to participate in special donations to the New York Firefighters 9-11 Relief Fund and the World Trade Center Police Disaster Relief Fund.
Ariens agreed to match all funds raised up to a maximum of $10,000. The campaign is complete and Dealers donated over $20,000. As a result Ariens Company has decided to double the match as the dealer donations came in stronger than predicted. Altogether, Ariens Company will send just over $40,000 to the rescue and rebuilding effort.
Dan Ariens, President, says, “America suffered a terrible tragedy. Our hearts are heavy with sadness for those who have lost family, friends and neighbors. Because of the examples of firefighters, police personnel and other rescue workers, we have moved to higher ground gifted with new hope, new heroes, and rekindled care and concern for our neighbors. It is in this spirit that Ariens Company established the disaster relief fund.”
