Back-to-back award winner unveils rendering of 2003 float titled “Water Wonderland”

Rain Bird Corporation officially unveiled its 2003 Tournament of Roses Parade float entry, titled “Water Wonderland” at the ceremony in Pasadena, Calif., earlier this week. Prior to the unveiling, the 2003 Tournament President Gary Thomas and the 2002 Rose Queen Caroline Hsu presented Rain Bird with the Tournament of Roses’ Sweepstakes Trophy, traditionally given to the Parade’s most beautiful float, in recognition of Rain Bird’s 2002 parade entry “Animal Ambassadors.”

In keeping with the 2003 Rose Parade them, “Children’s Wishes, Dreams and Imaginations”, “Water Wonderland” will depict an array of African animals gathered around a watering hold. A family of elephants will be seen engaging in typical playful behavior with their young. Surrounded by giraffes, zebras and native birds, and set against a magnificent waterfall, “Water Wonderland” is set to be another crowd favorite in 2003.

Rain Bird also marked the occasion by announcing the return of animal enthusiasts Jack Hanna and Walter C. Crawford, Jr. as the float riders aboard Rain Bird’s 2003 float entry.
