Bayer Announces Major Customer Focus Initiative
To better serve the differing needs of Green Industry customers, Bayer Environmental Science recently expanded and repositioned existing sales and marketing resources within Chipco Professional Products, the company announced.
“Our greatest asset is our people,” said Dan Carrothers, Vice President, Chipco Professional Products. “By concentrating on specific markets, our sales representatives will magnify their ability to listen to our customers and address turf and ornamental opportunities and issues.”
The recent creation of a national lawn care/landscape and grounds maintenance region with a dedicated sales manager and sales representatives will enable the three current sales regions to specialize on golf course customers in their geographies. An expanded number of sales representatives will concentrate on either golf course or lawn and landscape/grounds maintenance customers.
Additionally, business managers in the Bayer home office have been assigned as market leads for either the golf or lawn and landscape industries. Collectively, the changes will bring added focus to end-user customers within each market, as well as marketing efforts by Bayer.
Positions in the golf market for Bayer include:
Eric Kalasz: As Golf Market Lead for Bayer, Kalasz will direct all marketing activities in the golf industry. He is also Business Manager – Fungicides.
Jim Davis: Previously Southern Region Sales Manager, Davis now is Northern Sales Manager – Golf.
Brian Tepper: Recently named Western Region Sales Manager – Golf, Tepper was Manager of the Global Termite Portfolio in Lyon, Francel.
Dave Ravel: Previously a lawn care representative, Ravel was recently named Southern Region Sales Manager - Golf.
“The golf market is a very high priority for Bayer,” added Carrothers. “With our new product pipeline, the golf market offers excellent growth potential. By repositioning our sales representatives and overall marketing effort, we will better serve our golf customers.”
