Bayer Selects Nterline to Streamline Point-of-Sale Data Collection for Its Green Business

Bayer Environmental Science (ES), a division of Bayer AG, has selected Nterline to develop a customized Web-based system for collecting, cleaning and reporting point-of-sale data from the Bayer ES distribution network. The new web-based system will improve service for agents and distributors and provide a platform to enhance sales force effectiveness.

By using a Web-based system, Bayer ES distributors can easily upload sales information and view current and previously reported data in real time. In addition, business analysis reporting tools will be available to distributors to view their business in new and unique ways.

“We are pleased to be associated with Nterline and to have them heading up our EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) reporting efforts,” says Dan Carrothers, vice president of Bayer ES Green Industry business. “Building a customer relationship management (CRM) strategy has been a priority for Bayer ES for several years. Now, we are in a position to fully execute this vision. The e-reporting initiative, led by Nterline, will provide Bayer ES distributors and agents with an efficient, seamless means to pass EDI and agency sales transactions.

This association will greatly benefit Bayer ES’s Accolades Program, an end-user loyalty program offering incentives to golf course superintendents, lawn care professionals and greenhouse and nursery growers. Transaction information for participating end users will now be electronically transmitted to Accolades, making all claims paperless. With the introduction of Paperless Points, the customer waiting period to receive credit for qualifying purchases will decrease significantly.
