Black and Decker lawn mower recall
Black & Decker is recalling some of its reconditioned cordless electric lawn mowers because the blades don't stop as they are intended. The apparent cause is missing control cable clips that may cause the blade control to fail, says the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
The mowers have the model number CMM1000R and date codes between 0043 M.N.D.C. and 0121 M.N.D.C. They were sold from December 2000 through May 2001. No injuries have been reported as a result of the problem.
Owners can take the mowers to a Black & Decker service center for a free repair. For more information, call Black & Decker at 1-866-229-5570.
