BlueYellow Named Certified Supplier By John Deere Golf & Turf One Source
BlueYellow, a new-engineered turf system from Georgia-Pacific that provides a one-step solution for golf course turf establishment, has been named a certified supplier by John Deere Golf & Turf One Source. One Source and its distributor network will be the exclusive distributor of BlueYellow to the golf market in the United States and Canada.
The One Source program is a full-service platform designed by John Deere Golf & Turf to bring together a wide variety of products and services for golf course architects, builders and superintendents across North America. BlueYellow is the most recent addition to the program’s gathering of industry leaders that serve the expanding needs of the golf course market.
“Our One Source program represents strategic partnerships with many of the industry’s most respected suppliers in the seed, fertilizer, irrigation and drainage fields,” said Gregg Breningmeyer, director of sales and marketing for John Deere Golf & Turf One Source. “We are very pleased to add BlueYellow engineered turf system to the One Source partnership. We believe BlueYellow is an important new technology for golf course construction and renovation.”
“We are excited about being named as a certified supplier to John Deere’s new One Source program,” said Marsha Seekins, vice president of sales for BlueYellow. “Our engineered turf system complements the existing One Source offerings to the golf and turf industry and, together, we will provide outstanding quality and value to a very discriminating market.”
BlueYellow combines a cellulose-based substrate with a calibrated distribution of high quality grass seed and fertilizer in the form of a lightweight, 100-percent biodegradable roll. This professional-grade product can be custom manufactured with any variety of commercially available seed and fertilizer for a prescription turf for new construction and renovation projects.
BlueYellow is a one-step solution to establishing high-quality turf – just roll it out over the prepared soil and water it thoroughly. BlueYellow adheres to the soil once it is watered, reducing seed migration and erosion. The cellulose-based substrate secures the seed and fertilizer in place and helps retain water – enhancing germination. The substrate maintains its integrity for several weeks, protecting the seed and fertilizer from wind, washouts and other damaging factors, reducing the potential for fertilizer run-off and costly rework of the course.
BlueYellow can be stored and handled easily, and there is no special equipment needed for installation. For more information about BlueYellow, call 1-800-667-3268 or visit www.blueyellowpro.com.
