Caterpillar Reports May Dealer Sales

Peoria, Ill.-based Caterpillar last week said retail sales from its dealers of machinery for the three months ended in April rose 2 percent worldwide, boosted by a 5 percent gain in North America compared with a year ago.

Those figures were pulled down by a 3 percent decline outside of North America despite a 40 percent jump in the Asia-Pacific region.
