Chain Saw Receives Consumers Digest “Best Buy”Husqvarna’s 55 Rancher chain saw has been designated a “Consumers Digest Best Buy” in the gasoline chain saws category in the publication’s September/October issue.
In describing the 55 Rancher, Consumers Digest wrote that the “heavy duty saw features a professional-grade, 18-in. guide bar, automatic oiling and a powerful 53cc engine.”
According to the publication, a Consumers Digest Best Buy is defined as a product that offers outstanding value for its price.
Combining high engine power, low weight, and rapid acceleration, the 55 Rancher provides great performance with excellent value. Its slim body shape, high center of gravity, and flat underside make the saw easy to position and handle.
The 55 Rancher is equipped with LowVib, Husqvarna’s exclusive vibration dampening system that isolates the handles and fuel tank from the engine. With less vibration, the operator can hold the saw more steadily and experience less fatigue.
Husqvarna’s Air Injection system removes up to 97 percent of the dirt and dust before it reaches the air filter and enables the saw to run longer and stronger between filter cleanings.
The saw has a wide kerf 3/8-inch chain pitch and pro-style cutting teeth. For added safety, the 55 Rancher has a double acting (inertia and manual) chain brake, right hand guard and chain catcher pin.
Consumers Digest reaches more than 1.2 million subscribers nationally and has been testing and recommending consumer products for more than 40 years. With expert product reviews and exclusive Best Buy ratings, the publication focuses on product value, convenience and safety in categories such as personal finance, medicine, insurance, food, appliances, electronics and automobiles.
