Composting council reveals testing program

The U.S. Composting Council has released details of its Seal of Testing Assurance program. The program is intended to provide consumer confidence in compost quality by establishing standards that participants in the STA program must meet. The STA program uses testing and sampling methods outlined in "Test methods for the evaluation of composting and compost" manual. The manual was developed with funds partly provided by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
