Eagle Fungicide Now Available in Liquid Formulation
A new, convenient liquid formulation of Eagle specialty fungicide – Eagle 20EW – is now available to golf course superintendents to treat dollar spot, anthracnose, summer patch and brown patch.
“We’ve enhanced the packaging and pricing of Eagle with our customers in mind,” says Chris Wooley, marketing manager at Dow AgroSciences LLC, makers of Eagle. “Superintendents will find the newly registered formulation and new container sizes to be what they will prefer – a liquid that’s available in the amounts they need.”
Eagle 20EW fungicide comes in a 2.5-gallon jug and in pint containers. At the 1.2 ounce per 1,000 square foot rate, it controls brown patch, red thread, anthracnose and leaf spot. At 2.4 ounces per 1,000 square feet, it controls dollar spot, spring dead spot and summer patch. Two and a half gallons should be enough to treat three acres of greens, while two cases (4, 2.5-gallon jugs) will treat up to 22 acres. Pint-sized containers, packed eight to a case, are also available.
Sales representatives from Dow AgroSciences will be on hand Feb. 12-14 at the GCSAA trade show and convention in San Diego to discuss the features and benefits of the new formulation.
Eagle, a systemic fungicide, has preventative and curative properties. It contains the active ingredient myclobutanil and is also registered for use on ornamentals, in nurseries and greenhouses.
