Environmental Golf signs maintenance contract for seventh course in Florida
Environmental Golf, a leading golf-course maintenance company and division of Environmental Industries Inc., has added another Florida golf course to its contract maintenance portfolio.
The Hideaway Country Club is a private, 18-hole executive course located in the community of Ft. Myers, Fla. The club signed a five-year agreement with Environmental Golf to provide comprehensive golf-course and grounds maintenance for the club and its 18-hole Ron Garl-designed golf course. Hampton Kicklighter, CGCS, will be Environmental Golf's onsite golf-course superintendent.
The multi-million dollar deal includes an agreement with Environmental Golf to oversee the implementation and successful grow-in of an extensive capital improvements project scheduled to begin in late April. The course renovation includes reconstruction of all 20 of the club's greens, expansion of several teeing areas as well as some bunker and fairway renovation work.
"The Hideaway is an excellent opportunity for Environmental Golf to demonstrate its customer-focused approach to maintenance operations," says Bob McCormick, the company's business development manager for the southeastern region.
"We are looking forward to having Environmental Golf on the team at Hideaway," says Mark Bruce, club president and president of Hideaway's board of directors. "We're confident their presence here will help us maintain our course at a consistently high level and direct our efforts to enhance playability for our members and guests."
