EPA has concluded that the insecticide acephate

does not pose risks in food or water, according to its recent interim risk management decision, since registrants agreed to drop indoor residential and all turf uses of the organophosphate except on golf courses and sod farms.  Other risk mitigation measures are included in the decision.  For instance, some application methods will be eliminated and rates lowered.  The full document  can be found at http://www.epa.gov/pesticides/.
