Ferris Completes Factory Expansion With New Employee Entrance
Ferris Industries opened the doors to a new employee entrance as part of their factory expansion project. The grand opening ceremony took place outside of the Munnsville Plant. Ferris’ new state of the art manufacturing facility will be able to produce over 20,000 mowers each year with available capacity for future growth. The $4 million dollar project received economic development assistance through Assemblyman William Magee, Madison County, Empire State Development Corporation and Ferris has been designated as an Empire Zone with the help of Senator Nancy Hoffman.
The event was a celebration after 12 months of construction to expand the existing facility by 52,000 square feet. The highlight of the day was the participation of all the speakers and Ferris employees in the actual ribbon cutting and opening of Ferris Industries completed facility. Speakers included Assemblyman William Magee, Chairman Rocky DiVeronica of the Madison County Board of Supervisors and Ferris President Phil Wenzel. Ferris management hosted the event, and thanked local community leaders, and residents for their support and patience. The new facility will employ 225 plus employees.
