General Motors announces E85 flex-fuel full size pickup

The Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra will be available with the option to operate on ethanol (E85) fuel. Ethanol is made from starch crops such as corn, and helps reduce air pollution.

The units are expected to be produced beginning in early 2002, and will be available as a special eqquipment option on the trucks.
