Husqvarna dealers celebrate new online resource

Charlotte, N.C.-based Husqvarna will now offer equipment dealers the opportunity to manage their parts procurement and product registration 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The company's dealer computer network, or ExtraNet, will expedite the parts ordering and product registration processes for both Husqvarna and its dealers.

The ExtraNet is a password-protected Web site that dealers can access with an individualized identification number. The product registration function allows dealers to enter product warranty information online without having to complete and mail standard printed forms. Dealers can also use the service to place orders for parts; check part availability; view the status of open orders; review invoices; review statements; research product details and specifications; and view marketing information.

The ExtraNet system has been beta tested for several months with a dealer group and more than 1,100 Husqvarna dealers have already registered for access.
