IGM Named Golf Course Maintenance Company of the Year
International Golf Maintenance (IGM) received the BoardRoom Magazine's 2002 Excellence in Achievement Award for Golf Course Maintenance Company of the Year at a reception last month at the Eden Roc Resort in Miami Beach, Fla. The annual award ceremony is held in conjunction with the Club Managers Association of America (CMAA) annual conference and show.
Greg Plotner CGCS, vice president of business development and special projects, and Dennis Shirley, sales representative for IGM, were in attendance at the reception. Steve Mona, CAE, chief executive officer for the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America, presented the award to Plotner at the Saturday evening reception.
"We are extremely honored to receive this award," said Scott A. Zakany, executive vice president of IGM. "I also think the fact that we have be awarded this recognition four years in a row really shows the company's and our employees’ strive for excellence. We look to make 2003 even more successful!"
The BoardRoom's Excellence in Achievement Award entries received are reviewed by an independent panel of industry experts representing various aspects of course and club operations. Winners are selected for overall excellence in their respective fields, achievements, innovation, vision for future growth and continued impact on private club operations.
