The Irrigation Association Announces A Certified Golf Irrigation Auditor
The Irrigation Association announces that Denise Soldenski of Rain Bird Corporation’s Golf Division has passed the required IA Certification Examination to become a Certified Golf Irrigation Auditor (CGIA). Soldenski is a district sales manager based out of Lapeer, Mich.
The CGIA program was created in partnership with the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA). A CGIA is involved in the analysis of turf irrigation water use tailored to the unique conditions found on golf courses.
Golf auditors collect site data, make maintenance recommendations and perform water audits. Through their analytical work at the site, these irrigation professionals develop base schedules for greens, tees, fairways and roughs. To become a CGIA, individuals must attend a course and pass a specialized exam.
