Komatsu Plans to Halt Peoria Manufacturing

Komatsu America Corp. last week announced there will be no production for a minimum of three months beginning April 14.

Employees throughout the Peoria, Ill., operation will be affected. The company says approximately 350 employees will be laid off.

During the three-month shutdown the company says it will attempt to establish a “longer-term plan” for its worldwide mining business.
