Kubota president appointed
Kubota
Tractor Corporation recently announced the appointment of Nobuyuki Toshikuni as
president. Toshikuni has served in various engineering and manufacturing
capacities and was appointed in 1999 as General Manager, Tractor Engineering. In
that capacity, he oversaw the development of all Kubota tractors and implements.
Toshikuni assumes responsibility for Kubota Corporation’s commercial and
consumer export market following the successful tenure of past-president Mori
Hayashi, now serving as General Manager, Overseas Operations and appointed to
the Kubota Board of Directors in 2001.
Toshikuni’s
background as the developer of the current Kubota L-series tractors included an
earlier assignment within the U.S. operation during which he evaluated the
market potential to Kubota of the lawn and turf segments; this experience added
to his considerable management and engineering skills. A graduate of Osaka
University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Kubota’s new president
brings both practical experience and a global business perspective to the job.
