MacKissic acquires Easy Auger
Mackissic, Inc., a manufacturer of lawn and garden products for more than 54 years, announced its acquisition of the Easy Auger product line manufactured by E-Z Industries Inc. of Alexandria, Minn. The Easy Auger was the first auger of this design type and was originally introduced in 1991; in 1996, the first self-propelled model was developed. According to Mike Smollock, vice president of sales and marketing for MacKissic, the Easy Auger will fit nicely into the company’s existing product line and will help develop new business in other industry segments.
This represents the fourth acquisition in 10 years for MacKissic, which announced the acquisition of Johnson Big Wheel Mower last year at this time. The complete MacKissic offering also includes leaf shredders, cyclers and blowers, chipper/shredders, vacuum-chipper-baggers, powered sprayers, mid-tine and rear tine tillers, stump cutters, high wheel and rough terrain mowers.
