Men in blue get green

A lawyer for the Calipatria (Calif.) Police Officers' Association complained to the City Council about an order forcing police to perform gardening and building maintenance.

The order caused a row with the police dept., which felt the image of police officers pruning shrubs and mowing depicted second-class quality law enforcement. The city rescinded the order.
