Naked protesters "barely" stop logging

California's Headwaters Forest was the scene of a protest against logging last week. Nothing new about that.

Except for one thing. The nine female protesters were naked from the waste up.

One of the protesters, Dona Nieto, is a performance artist who goes by the moniker of La Tigresa. Nieto calls such protests "Goddess-based, nude Buddhist guerrilla poetry". Whatever you call it, she's making a name for herself, particularly among Northern California loggers.

Nieto claims she's succeeding in changing loggers' minds and hopes to start a similar international "guerilla" movement. Loggers are not objecting.
