New Western regional vp for John Deere Landscapes

John Deere Landscapes has named industry professional Bob Olson to the new position of western regional vice president. Olson will be based in Denver, Colorado, and will direct John Deere Landscapes strategic expansion efforts throughout the western U.S., specifically in California, Colorado, Idaho, Oregon, Utah and Washington.

An industry veteran, Olson has worked in irrigation sales and contracting for more than 25 years. He was previously employed with Rain Bird as a regional sales manager for the turf division, and oversaw activities in the mountain states and central region. Olson also worked in the landscape business as an irrigation contractor in the Midwest in the 1980s. He is a graduate of the University of Minnesota with a degree in economics and now resides in Denver.
