NYSTA presents scholarships

SYRACUSE — Scholarships were presented at the New York State Turfgrass Association’s (NYSTA) Turf and Grounds Exposition held in Syracuse, New York. Talented students who are enrolled in accredited turf management programs are eligible for these scholarships.

Recipients are as follows: NYSTA’s John Cornman Scholarship was awarded to Roderick Zimmerman, SUNY Delhi; NYSTA Scholarships were given to Bryce Baker SUNY Morrisville, Timothy Clarke and Douglas Vanderlee, SUNY Delhi; and Jeffrey Madison, SUNY Cobleskill; Equipment Managers Scholarship, Thomas Reynolds, SUNY Delhi.

Additional student scholarships were presented as follows: Aventis Environmental Science Scholarships, Thomas Kaplun and Robert Mediak, Cornell University; Stephen V. Moffett, III Scholarships awarded to Jason Anderson, SUNY Delhi, Robert Mediak, Cornell University, and Adam Hunter, SUNY Cobleskill; Peter P. Hahn Scholarships to Brian Eddy and Jack Burgess, SUNY Delhi, and John Cairns and Tom Newkirk, SUNY Cobleskill.
