Orthene passes EPA muster (sort of)

According to an EPA assessment, acephate (Orthene) poses no unreasonable risks, now that indoor residential and turf uses have been dropped from the label. Exceptions include golf courses and sod farms. Further, some types of applications have been disallowed, and rates for some uses have been lowered. You can find more information at
