Otterbine Barebo Inc., manufacturer of fountains, aerators and other pond and lake management products, recently appointed Chris Barebo as Otterbine’s new president.

Barebo started with the company in 1980 as an operational manager. Under his leadership, the company achieved a reduction in unit lead times from eight weeks to two days. In 1988, he was promoted to vice president of manufacturing and was able to improve warranty rates by more than 300 percent, lowing Otterbine’s warranty rate to less than ½ percent.

Barebo, 38, graduated from Penn State in 1985 and lives in Emmaus, Pa.
