PBI/Gordon announces new management
PBI/Gordon Corporation, Kansas City, Mo., announced that Mark Miller of Leawood, Kan., is the company's new sales manager for professional turf and ornamental and agricultural products.
Miller, who moved to the Kansas City area from Clarks Summit, Penn., has been with the company, first as a field sales representative, then as regional manager for the Northeast, for 12 years. For the past two years, Miller has worked in the Kansas City corporate office as product and national accounts manager.
"It was a real learning experience to come in to the office from the field," says Miller. "I've gained a new appreciation for all that gets done internally to support our products and customers." Miller reports looking forward to continuing the company's commitment to providing quality customer service through field and internal personnel.
Miller graduated from the University of Delaware in 1979 with a bachelor of science degree in agriculture. He will be filling the gap in management left by Al Mullican, who plans partial retirement. Mullican has headed up the professional and agricultural products sales group since 1987. He will stay with the company on a part-time basis for an undetermined period of time.
Replacing Miller in his previous position is Doug Obermann, also a long-term employee of the company. Obermann started working for PBI/Gordon right out of college in the late '80s and has worked in many areas of the company's business including field sales and more recently as a representative for the company's commercial sales group.
