PLCAA Names New President
The Professional Lawn Care Association of America (PLCAA) begins the New Year with Jim Campanella as its new president. Campanella was introduced to the group's membership at the recent Green Industry Expo (GIE) in St. Louis.
"PLCAA continues to grow as the leading organization in the lawn care industry, and I am thrilled to entrust the leadership of the organization to such an enthusiastic advocate," said Jon Cundiff, outgoing PLCAA president. Cundiff made his remarks at PLCAA's annual lawn care conference, the GIE, which typically draws more than 360 exhibitors and 6,000 attendees.
Campanella, a green industry veteran with 21 years of experience, has been involved with PLCAA for many years, rising through the ranks as an officer, board member and committee member. Campanella also served as president of the Massachusetts Association of Lawn Care Professionals (MALCP) in 2003. In 1997, he and a partner founded The Lawn Dawg, a lawn care company with five locations in four states.
"Jim will bring great leadership and energy to this key role," said Gary Clayton, executive vice president of PLCAA. His enthusiasm and professionalism are tremendous qualities that will serve our association well."
